Audition February 17 for Trapzium Friday - February 05, 2010
Playhouse on Park will hold open auditions for the New England premiere of Trapezium February 17 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Trapezium is a five-character farce based on the legend of Tristan and Iseult. The story is told in three versions as the characters try to figure out their true history. A hilarious madcap Arthurian Rashomon ensues.
Playhouse theatre group is seeking three men (ages 20 through 50) and two women (ages 18 through 30s). Actors should bring a recent head shot and resume and prepare an appropriate side. Character breakdowns and sides are available online.
Rehearsals begin Monday, March 15 in New York City and move to Connecticut April 1. Performances are scheduled April 7–18.
Trapezium was written by NY Times and Boston Globe crossword puzzle writer Henry Rathvon and will be directed by Drama Desk Award Winner Russell Treyz.
