Scholarships offered for Jewish students
Monday - February 08, 2010
|
Yachad Greater Hartford Jewish Community High School and the Commission on Jewish Education & Leadership sponsor six scholarships for Jewish students in Connecticut in Grades 10, 11 or 12.
Entries, one per student, should be original and from 250–1,000 words and relate to biblical quotations. There are two categories of essays: those advocating the centrality of the hexagram in Judaism and essays rejecting it. The contest rests only on biblical quotation; there is no comparable teaching and interpretative document.
There will be three winners in each category: $60,000, $30,000, $10,000. Submissions must be electronic (send an email) in PDF format and submitted by March 15.
For more information call 860-727-6136.
