Thursday - February 04, 2010
|
Natasha Ulyanovsky, a concert organist and recording artist, will demonstrate different sound combinations that can be produced with Congregation Beth Israel’s historic Austin Organ. This hour-long, free program will be held on Friday, February 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Beth Israel, 701 Farmington Avenue.
Ulyanovsky will create sounds with bells, chimes, and the echo organ and will play a versatile program of J.S. Bach, opera music, French romantic, swing, and jazz. She has performed internationally as both a soloist and accompanist, including performances at Carnegie Hall.
Beth Israel’s Austin Organ was completely restored in 2004 and has been cited by the national Organ Historical Society as a historically significant pipe organ.
This program is open to the community and will be followed by a Shabbat Service at 7:30 p.m.
