Congregants from 15 synagogues in the Greater Hartford area will participate in a Community Havdalah Service on Saturday, February 13, at 7 p.m. The event will be held at Congregation Beth Israel, 701 Farmington Avenue.

Havdalah is a Jewish ceremony that marks the symbolic end of Shabbat and holidays, and ushers in a new week. The joyous event will include music, singing, dancing, and kosher snacks and desserts.

Participating congregations include Agudas Achim, Beth Ahm, Beth David, Beth El, Beth Hillel, Beth Israel, B’nai Sholom, Congregation Or LaOlam, Emanuel Synagogue, Emek Shalom, P’nai Or, Temple Beth Hillel, Temple Sinai, Tikvoh Chadoshoh, and Young Israel of West Hartford.
