The Children’s Museum will celebrate the Year of the Tiger on Friday, February 12, during a special program recognizing the Chinese New Year. This event also coincides with the Lunar New Year, which occurs on the first new moon of the first month of the year which this year is February 14.

The evening will includes the planetarium program, Dragons in the Stars, and folktales from Asia presented by professional storyteller Andre Keitt who is better known as the Greatheart Griot. Themed crafts, light Chinese refreshments and telescope viewing in the courtyard, weather permitting, will also take place.

The program runs from 6–9 p.m. The cost is $7 for museum members and $8 for non-members. Pre-registration is recommended. Call 860-231-2830, ext. 44, register online, or send an email.
