Tillerson On Resignation Rumors: I'm Not Going Anywhere

Rex Tillerson said he has no plans to resign from his position and will continue to serve as long as President Donald Trump allows him.

The difference of opinion has been most evident in Trump and Tillerson's views on the ongoing diplomatic fallout between the Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

"The Secretary has been very clear he intends to stay here at the State Department", State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert told reporters Tuesday.

OJ Simpson Granted Parole, Will Be Released As Early As October 1
He has said many times that he never knew his accomplices were carrying guns and that he would never pull a gun on someone. The parole board noted Simpson has been a model prisoner, and he took it a step further. "This is a good man".

Despite all the allegations, however, Tillerson said Wednesday that his relationship with Trump was "good".

"He's just taking a little time off".

Tillerson has had some tension with the White House over staffing at the State Department and his independence to make decisions about the nation's foreign policy agency، senior administration officials told ABC News. While Tillerson worked to mediate the dispute, Trump took to Twitter, slamming Qatar and seemingly contradicting his secretary of state's overtures. CNN reported earlier this week that Tillerson was growing frustrated with the White House over vacancies in his department and might quit. Tillerson's job status has been the subject of much speculation this week in Washington following a report from CNN.

"He just came back from that mega trip overseas", she added, referring to a trip that took Mr Tillerson to the Group of 20 summit in Germany, as well as to Turkey, Ukraine and Gulf countries. "We have a lot of work that is left to be done ahead of us". But the State Department has been releasing empty public schedules for Tillerson for a few days now، with no details on what he is doing other than "meetings and briefings".
