Sonic Mania lands on the Nintendo Switch August 15th

GamesBeat's Mike Minotti is going to be ecstatic. While Sonic Mania will arrive on August 15, 2017, Sonic Forces will show up in Q4 2017. It is a throwback to classic Sonic, but with 60 FPS gameplay and improved physics. Digital preorders are now available for Sonic Mania on Steam and Xbox One, and will be for PlayStation as well later today.

The retro-inspired platformer will launch for Switch and other platforms on August 15, for US$19.99/C$25.99. We're still waiting on an official release date for that game, but more information is expected to be coming at E3 2017.
